Hi, I’m Katie, Solicitor at GML. I’ve always believed that the little things matter. The way you prepare, communicate, and follow through all contribute to the trust you build with people, and that’s something I carry into every matter I work on.

I practise in mortgage and finance law, working across residential and retail lending and settlement matters. I enjoy work that calls for precision and practical thinking, but I also enjoy the relationships that come with it. Whether I’m supporting clients or working alongside colleagues, I like finding practical solutions, thinking ahead, and helping matters progress as smoothly as possible.

One of the things I enjoy most about being a lawyer is that there’s always something new to learn. I welcome feedback, enjoy asking questions, and see every challenge as an opportunity to improve. That mindset keeps me curious, helps me grow, and reminds me that even small improvements can make a meaningful difference.

I’m naturally organised and enjoy bringing calm to busy matters. I believe good communication, careful preparation, and genuine accountability go a long way, and I take pride in being someone people know they can rely on.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, keeping active, and taking time to recharge. I like having routines that help me reset, so I can come back each day with a clear mind, fresh perspective, and the focus to give every matter the attention it deserves.
